YOUTHE LEADERSHIP & CIVIC EDUCATION TRAINING WORKSHOP (CHIRAGH SE CHIRAGH)

SDI successfuly organized the Youth Leadership and Civic Education Training Workshop (Chiragh se Chiragh) from 30th December 2025 to 2nd January 2026, in collaboration with the Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA). The initiative aimed to empower UMT students with essential civic knowledge, leadership skills, and community action planning abilities—preparing them to become responsible, informed, and socially engaged citizens.A total of 50 students were selected through interviews and divided into two groups of 25 each. Over the course of four days, participants engaged in intensive training sessions focused on civic responsibility, democratic values, leadership development, and youth empowerment. The workshop equipped students with the knowledge and practical tools required to design and implement meaningful community action projects. The training concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony in January 2026. In each group, the top three performers were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 30,000, Rs. 20,000, and Rs. 10,000, along with shields and certificates of distinction. All remaining participants received certificates of participation, recognizing their commitment and active involvement throughout the workshop.
