I CANNOT BLEND IN WHEN I AM BORN TO STAND OUT

SDI organized an awareness session titled “I Cannot Blend In When I am Born to Stand Out” on December 8, 2025, in collaboration with Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation for Special Children. The session featured Ms. Amnah Aftab, CEO of Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation, as Guest Speaker. This disabilityfocused session aimed to promote understanding, inclusion, and respect for individuals with diverse abilities.

A group of 35 specially-abled students from Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation joined the session, creating a meaningful and interactive environment where students from HSM department directly engaged with them. The session concluded with an awareness walk, symbolizing collective commitment to advocating for inclusivity, accessibilty and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Through dialogue, shared experiences and active participation, the event strengthened students’ understanding of disability rights.
