FROM SUFFERING TO SAFETY: ABANDONED ANIMALS

SDI organized an awareness session titled “From Suffering to Safety: Abandoned Animals” on November 24, 2025, in collaboration with Ali Veterinary Hospital. The session featured Mr. Ahmad Ali, CEO of Ali Veterinary Hospital and Founder of Abandoned Souls Foundation,as the Guest Speaker. Students from the Psychology Department attended the session, which proved to be highly interactive, insightful and emotionally engaging, focusing on the importance of empathy and humane treatement of animals. This session highlighted the challenges faced by abandoned animals, the responsibilities of communities toward animal welfare, and practical ways students can contribute to creating safer environments for animals in distress. Through discussions, real-life cases, and expert guidance, participants gained valuable  awareness about compassion, advocacy and reasonable behavior toward animals.
